Montenegro: Combo of Albanian and Montenegrin mountains

Hiking and itinerant adventure, on the tracks of Enver Hodzha by the border ridges
Travel style Accompanied hiking trip
Activity level3/4

FROM 1.129 euros :

This exclusive trekking tour in the Balkans, passing through the enclave valleys that have remained traditional, will make us discover this country that has long remained closed and mysterious. The traces left by the leader Enver Hodža are omnipresent, both in the great works built under his domination, and in the spirits and way of life of this rural population, really warm.

Hiking really takes its meaning in the triangle between Montenegro, Albania and Kosovo and this loop illustrates it perfectly!  The whole tour goes along the Albanian Alps to get to the Skadar lake materializing the border between the 2 countries, where it will be possible to finish by a discovery of Montenegro and its Adriatic part, mixing local history by the numerous conquests.

THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE STAY :

– Flirt with the little-traveled peaks of Maja Arespilpt, Maja Prasqh or Maja and Ziakerce at nearly 2700 meters.

– Wild hikes on good mule tracks and military paths, with horses for the itinerant passages

– Sharing the life of the local people and farmers thanks to the lodgings where we will stay and spend good moments.

The atmosphere is a bit Nepalese, passing from one valley to another with mule logistics for the luggage, tchai shop in the slopes of the passes we cross, and an incomprehensible language! Always unique views and reliefs, and wild parts totally unexploited by tourists.

For this day, mules and horses will follow us to ensure the transfer of the luggage. The village is the starting point for a large number of hikes to the farthest peaks of the massif.
